In the area surrounding Sokołowsko are Zamek Rogowiec, Grodno Zagórze śl - Zamek muzeum, Zamek Schwarzwaldau, and the Chełmiec Millennium Cross.

Sokołowsko’s documented tradition as a climatic health resort was associated with the treatment of lung diseases; the village formerly held the status of an air-health resort.

The historic sanatorium complex includes a neo-Gothic main building; the first, older spa house was built in 1862.

Geographical setting

Sokołowsko is located in the Suché Mountains of the Central Sudetes, in the Sokołowska Basin, between the valleys of the Sokołowiec and Bednarski Potok, at approximately 540 to 590 metres above sea level.

The settlement lies in a deep, forest-covered hollow and is surrounded by wooded mountains. These include the previously mentioned names as well as Garbatka and Stożek Mały.

There are two locally distinct climatic levels in the village: a sheltered valley floor and a more exposed southern slope. Winters are relatively long, while summers are short.
