Ride the six trails
Strefa MTB Głuszyca comprises 150 kilometres of cycling trails across six routes. They connect to Czech and Polish MTB Sudety trails. Cycling competitions are also part of the town: recurring events include the Sudety MTB Challenge and the Trek Extreme MTB Challenge. If you want to make mountain biking the focus of your trip, the trails and competitions are a defining part of the town’s character.
A hiking route with many stops
The yellow hiking trail “Głuszyca PKP – Schronisko PTTK Andrzejówka – Golińsk Przejście graniczne” runs from Głuszyca via Grzmiąca, Zamek Rogowiec, Skalna Brama, Schronisko PTTK Andrzejówka, Waligóra and Sokołowsko. The sequence of stops gives you clear guidance if you want to focus on hiking rather than cycling. The route connects several named places and destinations; plan your day around this trail and its individual stops.
Architectural history in the townscape
There are also notable buildings for culture enthusiasts. The observation tower at the Church of Our Lady Queen of Poland (pw. Najświętszej Maryi Panny Królowej Polski) was built at the beginning of the 19th century next to a Protestant church dating from 1741. The industrialist’s palace in Jordanowski Park dates from 1894 and was entered in the register of monuments in 1955. These different dates offer a glimpse into two distinct chapters of the town’s history: the architectural history of the tower and Protestant church, and the palace’s construction and listing as a monument.
Park and water activities
Jordanowski Park is a recreational area with a playground and skatepark. The municipal open-air swimming pool has three pools: a large pool, a medium-sized pool and a paddling pool. There is also a volleyball court at the open-air pool.
Another option is the “Delfinek” indoor swimming pool at Primary School No. 3 on ul. Kolejowa. It has a dry sauna and a whirlpool. The open-air and indoor pools therefore differ in the facilities listed: the pools and volleyball court are at the municipal open-air pool, while the sauna and whirlpool are at the indoor pool.

Trains operated by Koleje Dolnośląskie stop at Głuszyca station on the Wrocław Główny–Głuszyca and Wałbrzych Miasto–Kudowa-Zdrój routes. When choosing accommodation, you can also consider whether the train connections are relevant to your travel plans.
In the municipality, Podziemne Miasto Osówka offers guided historical tours of underground facilities. The Osówka complex was open to visitors year-round, Monday to Sunday. The underground facilities add a distinct visitor attraction to the municipality’s architectural and local history.
