Unisław Śląski has medieval origins and belonged to the fiefdom of Radosno Castle, also known as Frendenschloff. The Hussites plundered the village in 1428; it was subsequently abandoned. This turning point is part of the village’s history, along with its later architectural landmarks, and brings the breadth of its history into focus. In 1742, the Protestant community built a timber-framed prayer house without a tower, typical of Silesia. Thus, a religious building from the 18th century stands alongside the village’s medieval history.
The Gothic Church of the Assumption of Mary was built at the beginning of the 16th century on the site of a predecessor building mentioned in 1360. The church contains a Renaissance altar, a pulpit, and a baptismal font dating from 1598.
