Culture and History
The painting “Sainte Cécile” depicts the saint in profile playing the harp in a loggia opening onto a landscape. The 19th-century work is located beside the entrance to Saint-Géraud Church in Sieurac and was registered as a protected object on 21 May 1991.
Saint-Géraud-de-Sieurac Church is classified as a type B building. This category includes buildings of landscape and architectural interest. Saint-Géraud was rebuilt around 1850; one of its façades features a 19th-century sundial.
Despite its damage and missing capstones, the dolmen uncovered in Sieurac retained its burial chamber, ossuary and half of its orthostats. The dolmen yielded human remains, numerous finds from the Early Bronze Age dating from around 3000 BC, as well as a flint arrowhead.
The La Viaule archaeological site lies on the northeastern municipal boundary of Sieurac, which also forms the boundary with the municipality of Lombers. It has yielded ancient remains and, to a lesser extent, medieval remains, indicating long-term settlement from the Roman period through the medieval period. Excavations uncovered pottery sherds bearing the names of the potters AVI and IVIV in a cartouche.
The history of the place also extends back to the early modern period: in 1625, Sieurac, which was then a fortified castle, was attacked by Duke Henri de Rohan.

Landscape
Sieurac is predominantly agricultural in character. Viticulture was the most important form of cultivation there for a long time, before production diversified.
