Łąka – Village History, Cycling Routes and Bird Protection

Łąka combines a long village history with a historic manor house, two named cycling routes and a bird protection area nearby. The village is documented as early as 1394. The documented mention of 1394 brings Łąka’s medieval history into view. A former manor house is located in the northern part of the village. The manor house includes a park whose original boundaries are still discernible and which has mature trees. To the north of the manor house there is also a small park with dense stands of mature trees and oaks. It is the only fully preserved element of the original spatial layout. Two Cycling Routes and a Sports Field

Two routes with different names and descriptions pass through Łąka. The red “Stepnicki” cycling route is over 40 kilometres long. The international R-66 “Around the Szczecin Lagoon” cycling route also passes through the village. It was created and signposted by PTTK on behalf of the Stepnica municipality. The multi-purpose sports field is also among the local sports facilities. It measures 36.57 × 22.00 metres and covers an area of 804.5 square metres; its surface is made of synthetic polyurethane.
