At the outskirts of the municipality of Soucieu-en-Jarrest is the approximately 200 m long Mur de Granchamp, which supports the aqueduct channel. The last arch of the aqueduct is known as “Le Chameau” because of its shape. Nine arches carry the channel to the Gerle, the reservoir of the Garon siphon; four openings through which lead pipes once ran have also been preserved.
The Church of Saint-Julien in Soucieu-en-Jarrest contains wood panelling dating from 1785. It is classified as a protected object and was placed under protection in 1978. The wood panelling comes from Cluny Abbey and was sold to the parish of Soucieu in 1845. The small footpath “Du Violon au Moulin Rose” presents the main elements of Soucieu-en-Jarrest’s municipal heritage and takes about an hour.

Nature
The circular route “Les Aqueducs de Soucieu” runs through orchards, along the remains of the Gier aqueduct and through the Furon valley. It is 10.9 km long, has 150 m of positive elevation gain and is signposted with yellow PDIPR markings. The circular route is open daily year-round and is free of charge; it starts at Stade Jean Garin in Soucieu-en-Jarrest.
The Fête de la pêche de vigne takes place in Soucieu-en-Jarrest every year on the first Sunday in September.
