The geographical area of the Fleurie AOP is limited to the municipality of Fleurie. Fleurie AOP is a red wine and belongs to the Crus of Beaujolais; it is made from the indigenous Gamay grape variety.

Wine and Local Culture
The Maison du Cru Fleurie sells wines from 32 wineries and offers a guided tasting led by one of the 32 winegrowers; it is open daily from March to December.
Château des Bachelards is a 12-hectare estate in Fleurie. It has cultivated its vineyards without chemical products since 2007 and holds Agriculture Biologique (FR-BIO-15), Demeter and Biodyvin certifications. Guided tours of the vineyards and wine cellar are offered year-round, presenting biodynamic farming and wine production.
Château de Poncié offers a guided tour of the estate and an introduction to work in the vineyard, followed by a guided tasting of six wines in the cellar. The guided vineyard tour conveys the diversity and richness of the terroirs of the Cru Fleurie in Beaujolais.
The discovery tour of the Cave de Fleurie is available year-round by prior reservation. Also year-round and by prior reservation, the Cave de Fleurie offers a guided tour of the winegrowers' cooperative, including a tasting of three or five wines and a light snack.
Hiking
The Sentier des Lys is an easy 3.5 km hiking trail with 125 m of elevation gain and a stated duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes. It is freely accessible every day year-round.
Via several stations, the Sentier des Lys leads to the Madone; each station presents themes, stories or anecdotes relating to wine and viticulture.
The Circuit Entre vignes et bois circular route leads to the Chapelle de La Madone and offers panoramic views over the vineyards of Beaujolais as well as, in favourable weather conditions, the Alpine range and Mont Blanc.
The Parcours d'Orientation spécial Enfants is an 8 km orienteering hike for children aged 8 and over.
Landscape
The Madone de Fleurie was built in 1866. The Chapelle de La Madone offers panoramic views over the vineyards of the surrounding Beaujolais Crus.
