Nature

The municipal area stretches from the Torrent de la Lignarre to the summit of Grand Renaud. It includes mountain forests and alpine pastureland, including the alpages at Grand Renaud and Prégentil. These mountain forests and alpine pasturelands provide habitats for chamois, roe deer and alpine birds such as black grouse and rock partridges.

Culture

The village of Villard-Reymond features distinctive mountain architecture, with traditional stone and timber houses built on the hillside. The washhouse offers a pleasant opportunity to take a refreshing break. Meals for the Fête de Saint-Jean, among other events, are held at the Auberge de l’Eau Blanche; the former communal school was converted into an auberge in 1993 and serves as a meeting place in the village.

The mountain biking route is classified as very difficult and is not signposted. On the upper sections, individual stretches are reserved either for pedestrians or for mountain bikers; follow the signs.
