Trept: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

West of the village lie the Communaux de Trept. The area covers 100 hectares and is designated as an Espace Naturel Sensible.

Nature

The Chemin de la Pulsatille is a marked circular trail measuring 3 kilometres in length. Along the trail, information panels explain the area's pastoral history, ecology and geological features.

Culture

The Château de la Poype de Serrières was listed as a historic monument by decree of 18 May 1992. It is privately owned and cannot be visited.

The Maison forte de la Poype de Serrières dates from the late 13th century.

The Église paroissiale de l’Assomption de Trept houses two holy-water stoups from the 18th century. The plans for the church were approved in 1865; it was built in 1866.

The Chapelle de Cozance dates from the 14th and 15th centuries. The chapel contains a set of Stations of the Cross created by a local artist, which also includes a depiction of the Resurrection.

On the Way

Trept is designated as a recommended stop for a lunch break on the 74-kilometre Grand Tour de l'Isle Crémieu. In the two-day version, Trept is designated as an overnight stop.
