Dent de Crolles on the Plateau des Petites Roches is a limestone peak overlooking the Grésivaudan Valley and situated on the edge of the Hauts de Chartreuse Nature Reserve.

Culture

The church of Saint-Pancrasse was rebuilt in the 17th century and altered between 1829 and 1860 through extensions and conversions.

The Site d’escalade du Col du Coq is a family-friendly limestone climbing area with 31 routes across five sectors.

The Plateau des Petites Roches comprises the three villages of Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet, Saint-Bernard-du-Touvet and Saint-Pancrasse and offers outdoor activities such as hiking, paragliding and free flight, via ferrata, climbing, caving, alpine and Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, sledging and treetop adventure activities at Col de Marcieu.

The circular hike to Dent de Crolles on the Plateau des Petites Roches is 3 km long, takes 4 hours and 30 minutes, and is rated very difficult.

Vertical Aventure offers a guided underground traverse of Dent de Crolles from Trou du Glaz to Grotte Annette, lasting almost eight hours underground.

To reach the Site du Luisset climbing area, walk approximately 50 metres northeast from the town hall along the main road, then turn right onto the Chemin des Coudières.

For 2026, the section of the Dent-de-Crolles route between the 1,640 m elevation and Trou du Glaz is closed following the rockfall of 28 November 2025.
