The Château Grammont is a historic monument built in the second half of the 19th century by the local Grammont industrialist family. Château Grammont includes a large green park with play facilities for children. The Château Grammont also houses Pont-de-Chéruy's municipal music school.

History

The Grammont companies were founded in Pont-de-Chéruy in 1849 by Étienne Grammont. The associated industrial site comprised workshops for wire drawing, casting, and cold and hot rolling. The former plant produced telegraph, telephone and submarine cables, as well as cables and wires for the transmission of electrical energy.

Nature

The River Bourbre is used locally for fishing. The banks of the Bourbre offer a pleasant place for walks.
