The church of Panissage is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It was built in the late 1880s on the private initiative of Abbé Villemin, while its bell tower was completed in 1929–1930. The church’s older bell was already baptised in 1765.
The church’s stained-glass windows were probably created at the time of its construction or shortly afterwards. Two windows bear the signature of the stained-glass artist Buche from Grenoble.
The Emmanuelle Texier pottery studio offers courses and workshops for adults and children. Adults can also attend weekly classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. The studio recommends that visitors call in advance to make sure that the potter is present.

History
Panissage railway station was built around 1862 when the Lyon–Grenoble railway line was established. The town’s industrial heritage also includes a Bigallet distillery, which was established there in 1885.
