Nature and Trails
Morette has signposted hiking trails. The “De Morette à Cras” route starts at Morette Town Hall and offers an impressive panorama of the Préalpes.
Those who choose Morette as a holiday destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Culture
The Église Saint-Julien de Morette was rebuilt and extended in 1868; a Gothic chapel added around 1615 was preserved in the process. The church houses a harmonium built by Debain, manufactured between 1855 and 1860 and restored in recent decades. Saint Julien is the church’s principal patron saint, while Saint Blaise and Saint Vincent are secondary patron saints.
The Four de la Combe on the Route des Acacias was recently renovated. It is operated several times a year, as well as during local festivals and events.
Walks
“Autour du Sonut” is an easy, 8.07-kilometre circular hike in Morette with an average duration of 3 hours and 15 minutes. The family walk passes walnut orchards and offers views of the Vercors, Belledonne and Chartreuse. The route can also be travelled by mountain bike; walnut dryers and bread ovens can be discovered along the way.
