The Espace Naturel Sensible de la Tourbière de Charamel forms the boundary between Frontonas and Panossas. Its large peripheral reed bed is home to marsh birds such as reed warblers, reed buntings, purple herons and little bitterns. The sandy meadows there provide egg-laying sites for European pond turtles and shelter in the form of burrows for European bee-eaters. Along the municipal paths in the Espace Naturel Sensible de la Tourbière de Charamel, visitors can observe a mosaic of natural habitats.

Church and History
The present-day parish church of Saint-Julien was built on the site of the former parish church. A clock was installed in the Église Saint-Julien in 1899. Its bell tower houses three bells, two of which are protected under the regulations governing historic monuments.
The plans for the parish church of Saint-Julien, dated 5 April 1849, provided for extending the nave by one and a half bays and constructing a western gallery.
Tradition and Gastronomy
The traditional Foire de la Dinde in Frontonas takes place every year at the end of August; it has been a tradition for more than 200 years.
The Château Saint Julien is a restaurant in Frontonas housed in a fully renovated 12th-century château.
Hiking and Orienteering
The Crémieu–Frontonas section of the GR 422 is a difficult 18.5-kilometre hiking route with a duration of approximately five hours.
The Croix Saint-Martin is equipped with an orientation board and offers a beautiful panoramic view over the area.
