The hike to Lac des Quirlies starts and ends in Le Perron near Clavans-le-Haut, passes through Clavans-en-Haut-Oisans and covers 6 hours, 13.5 km, 944 m of ascent and 944 m of descent round trip. Lac des Quirlies was formed after its glacier retreated, is surrounded by granite moraines and offers a view of the Plateau d’Emparis.

Mountain sports and trails
The Col de Sarenne can be reached by bicycle, on foot or by car and connects Clavans-en-Haut-Oisans with Alpe d’Huez. The Grand Sablat bouldering site lies at an altitude of over 2,300 m and requires a very high level of climbing or bouldering ability.
When ski touring from Clavans-le-Haut, the Plateau d’Emparis and the Massif des Grandes Rousses can be reached. The GR®54 long-distance hiking trail can be accessed from Clavans-en-Haut-Oisans.

The annual Randonnées Musicales du Ferrand festival takes place every summer in Besse, Clavans and Mizoën and offers 7 to 10 free open-air concerts.
