From Cholonge, the hike to Le Grand Serre leads to a summit panorama overlooking the Vercors, Chartreuse, Belledonne, Matheysine and the entire Grenoble metropolitan area. After the ascent, the route continues through the forest to the mountain pastures near the summit.

The Ecurie du Serre offers horse or pony riding lessons all year round for Galop levels 1 to 6, as well as baby pony activities from the age of three. Horse rides are possible from the age of two; during the school holidays, introductory sessions are also available from the age of two.
Water and Lake
At Lac de Laffrey, the Club Nautique de Cholonge offers a wide range of water sports activities for competitive athletes, amateurs and beginners. The program includes courses, rentals and outings for all levels; training courses are also offered during the season.
Plage de la Bergogne is the southern access point to Lac de Laffrey and is located next to a water sports center. Swimming is permitted there, but there is no lifeguard supervision.
Hiking and Landscapes
The circular hike Le Crey des Vorges offers interesting panoramic views through the forest between the hills and the lake and passes through typical hamlets of the Matheysin Plateau. The Aigle du Grand Serre is located in the municipality of Cholonge on the slopes of Grand Serre.
