The Foire de septembre (Sainte Croix) regularly takes place over three days: on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the weekend closest to 14 September. The livestock fair takes place on Friday. Culture
The Foire d’avril (Saint-Georges) also dates back a long way: it was established on 8 May 1836 by an ordinance issued by King Louis-Philippe and revived in 1970. It takes place on the weekend closest to Saint George’s Day. On Saturday, the Foire d’avril welcomes almost 1,000 exhibitors and 1,500 head of livestock.
During the Foire de Beaucroissant, SNCF provides trains that stop in Beaucroissant on the Lyon–Grenoble route. The arrival station is very close to the centre of the Foire de Beaucroissant.
Parménie became a Carthusian convent for nuns in the mid-13th century. The Centre Notre-Dame de Parménie is an important site of the Lasallian tradition, where Jean-Baptiste de La Salle withdrew in 1714. The Centre is open to individuals, families and organised groups for a day, a week or longer.
Markets
The Marché de Beaucroissant regularly takes place every Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the centre of the village. The market offers cheese from “Loulou Fromages” in Sillans, bread and organic biscuits, cold cuts and pork, the Sicilian catering service “Cassandra”, fruit and vegetables from “Les Jardins du Phoenix” in Colombe, fish from “Faure”, honey from Richard, “Malakoff” chocolate, the food truck “La régalade des Gourmands”, as well as snails depending on the season.
A well-maintained and signposted path leads from the Chemin des Étangs in Beaucroissant to the Domaine de Parménie.
