Juan-les-Pins was founded as a seaside resort in 1882. When planning a stay in Juan-les-Pins, you may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Coast
The public sandy beaches of Juan-les-Pins stretch from the centre to the town limits in the direction of Golfe-Juan. They have lifeguard stations, dining options, showers and toilets.
The Promenade du Soleil begins at the end of Boulevard Edouard Baudoin and offers cafés, restaurants, private beaches and views of the sea. Antibes Juan-les-Pins has been classified as the Natura 2000 site “Baie et cap d’Antibes – îles de Lérins” since 2013.
Culture
La Pinède is a pine grove by the sea in the heart of Juan-les-Pins. In the northern part there is a children’s playground, a carousel, a sculpture by Sosno and benches beneath umbrella pines. Every July, La Pinède Gould becomes an open-air events venue and has been the setting for the Jazz à Juan festival since 1960.
Belles Rives in Juan-les-Pins stands on the site of the former Villa Saint-Louis and was extended and modernised in the Art Deco style in 1931. Villa la Vigie is an ochre-coloured, seemingly medieval small château and was owned by Frank and Florence Jay Gould. Invited artists and writers lived at Villa la Vigie, including Jean Cocteau, Estée Lauder, Charlie Chaplin and Pablo Picasso.
The Tourist and Convention Office offers the guided tour “Juan-les-Pins, de la Belle Epoque aux Années Folles”. It covers the history of the seaside resort, Belle Époque villas and gardens, Roaring Twenties palaces and dance halls, as well as La Pinède Gould.
Townscape
Château de Juan-les-Pins was built around 1860. Palais Biagini combines Baroque and Art Deco elements. It housed a Genoese family that fled fascism in the 1920s. Auberge du Pin doré was built in 1926 and has had its original colours and friezes restored.
Regular TER trains connect towns on the Côte d’Azur with the railway stations in Antibes, Juan-les-Pins and Biot. Antibes Juan-les-Pins has three SNCF railway stations, including a TGV station. The Envibus bus network serves all districts of Antibes Juan-les-Pins as well as the neighbouring towns of Biot, Vallauris Golfe Juan, Valbonne, Sophia Antipolis and Villeneuve-Loubet.

A summer night market takes place every year on the Promenade du Soleil in Juan-les-Pins from 1 July to 31 August. The Palais des Congrès de Juan-les-Pins hosts numerous public events and private conventions throughout the year.
