Antibes: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture
The Musée Picasso houses a collection of 300 works by Picasso that were created in Antibes. In the heart of Antibes’ old town, near the harbour, is the Musée Peynet et du dessin humoristique. It has more than 800 drawings and documents, enabling themed exhibitions to be held.
Fort Carré is one of the first bastion forts built during the Renaissance on the orders of the French King Henry II. Its rampart walk is 43 metres high and offers an impressive view. The fort is surrounded by a protected park covering four hectares, with typical Mediterranean fauna and flora.
The Musée d'Archéologie is housed in the Bastion Saint-André, a military fortification built by Vauban at the end of the 17th century. The two vaulted galleries house archaeological collections from the city of Antibes, originating from land and underwater excavations. These collections trace the history of the Antibes area in antiquity, as well as the traces left by the Ligurians, Greeks and Romans who lived there.
Those who choose Antibes as a travel destination want to rent a holiday apartment there.
