Culture and history

At the Église Saint-Martin de Pendé, the nave, side aisle and choir date from the early 16th century. The church is partially protected as a Monument historique; this includes the roof framework and the vault ribs of the side aisle.

The stone baptismal fonts in the Église Saint-Martin de Pendé come from the Abbey of Saint-Valery and date from the 16th century, around 1540. The Calvary cross on the Place de l'Église in Pendé still has its Croisettes. The Calvary cross with an iron cross near the church has been restored.

The Circuit du Gravelot is a 37-kilometre cycle route with an average travel time of four hours. Small signposts mark the route; they depict a gravelot. The Circuit du Gravelot runs between the sea, dunes, shingle and Bas-Champs.
