Culture and history
Nouvion is one of the villages bearing the “Pays d’art et d’histoire” label. The Church of Saint Maurice houses the “Vierge de Pitié” sculpture group. Its stained-glass windows were installed in several phases: from 1873 in the nave, from 1879 in the two side chapels, and in 1895 in the upper part of the nave. They were made by the Bulteau-Jupin workshops in Reims. Through depictions of saints, the ensemble of stained-glass windows illustrates the ancient and local roots of Catholicism in France.
The historical sites designated in Nouvion include Château Hautefeuille, one of the town’s significant historical sites, as well as a Merovingian necropolis.

Nouvion also has daily bus connections to Abbeville; Abbeville is 12 kilometres away.
Landscape and activities
Nouvion is located in the Parc naturel régional Baie de Somme Picardie maritime. The Circuit du Geai is a 42-kilometre cycling route. It passes through forests and marshland and offers the opportunity to discover the Crécy Forest, remarkable trees, the marshes, and historic villages in Ponthieu-Marquenterre.
The “La Balade des Amis” association is open to everyone and organises walks, sightseeing visits, and discovery tours. For children, the Aire de jeux de Nouvion offers outdoor play equipment.
