Culture

The Saint-Nicolas Church is located in Neuvillette. It is built of white stone and features an unusual architectural layout: the bell tower portal, nave and chancel are separate from one another. The nave contains an ensemble of nine statues made of carved, polychromed wood, which are displayed in the upper part of the nave and date from the 19th century. The church is located on the street of the same name at the edge of Neuvillette.

The Neuvillette Town Hall houses the painting “La Marianne”, donated by the renowned illustrator Franscique Poulbot (1879–1946). “La Marianne” was created in 1916 and depicts a child wearing a Phrygian cap. The painting can be viewed during the town hall’s opening hours; contacting the town hall in advance is recommended.
