In Longpré-les-Corps-Saints, the Marais de Longpré-les-Corps-Saints extends over more than 160 hectares. This area includes ponds, reed beds, meadows and wooded wetlands.
The Maison des Marais is operated by the Tourist Office and serves as a visitor reception centre. It is dedicated to discovering natural habitats. Culture and history
The Collégiale Notre Dame de l’Assomption was built in the 12th century to house 116 relics brought back from the Crusades. Its Romanesque crypt contains a pilgrims’ hall, the founders’ tomb, a 16th-century Entombment sculpture and the cenotaph of Aléaume de Fontaine. The crypt can be visited by reservation made at least 48 hours in advance and for a minimum of two people.
The 1914/1918 English cemetery in Longpré-les-Corps-Saints contains 79 graves: 58 English, 20 Australian and 1 French grave. A ceremony takes place in this cemetery every year, followed by the laying of a wreath.
The Chapelle Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs on the Cavée du Quesnoy is a 19th-century chapel. The procession of the relics of Longpré stops there on 8 September during the Feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.
Trails and activities
The Chés Intailles cycle route (Loop B) is 36 kilometres long. It starts at the Maison des Marais in Longpré-les-Corps-Saints and ends in the municipality.
The Circuit des Prés volés is a nature walk through the peatlands and marshes of Long and Longpré-les-Corps-Saints. It can also start at the Maison des Marais in Longpré-les-Corps-Saints, where there is a car park. The railway station is 1.7 kilometres from the Maison des Marais.
As part of its nature activities, the Maison des Marais offers canoe trips.
