Between 30 October 1915 and 3 September 1916, during the preparation for and course of the Battle of the Somme, the château in Dury temporarily housed General Ferdinand Foch and his aide-de-camp Maxime Weygand. The Church of Saint-Nicolas de Dury is built of brick on a reinforced-concrete structure and has a slate roof. Its nave is illuminated by a continuous horizontal row of windows and a large glazed gable.

The area includes woodland and dry grassland, which have been managed ecologically since 2013. Parc du Petit-Château is designated as an LPO refuge. The Les Hortillonnages d'Amiens gardens are located in the vicinity of Dury.
