Culture and History

The Église Saint-Martin dates back to the 14th century; it was formerly known as the “Cathedral of Vimeu”. Inside, it features beautiful, listed wood paneling and a beautiful pulpit.

The walls of the Moulin de Mons are 1.30 m thick, and the interior diameter is 4.60 m. The Moulin de Mons ceased milling in 1895.

After the former churchyard had been relocated and the graves had disappeared, 16 small private cemeteries remained. Mons-Boubert also still has a very high density of traditional farmhouses typical of maritime Picardy; most were renovated while taking their original architectural typology into account.

Circular Routes

The “circuit de la Mésange” cycling loop in the Bay of Somme passes through Mons-Boubert. The Circuit d’Arrest is an 11.4 km-long cycling route connecting Arrest and Mons-Boubert.

A heritage loop known as the “circuit patrimoine” is listed in Mons-Boubert. A health trail known as the “circuit santé” is also listed.

Event

A guided short tour of the Église Saint-Martin and its private cemeteries is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. Participation is free of charge, and reservations are required.
