Culture and History

The history of Bohéries dates back to 1143, when a Cistercian monastic community was founded there. The two houses known as the Maisons de Nicolas Grain were the work and property of the master mason Nicolas Grain, who was also a sculptor. The second house, the Maison de la fidélité conjugale, was built around 1775.
