Marly-Gomont: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Marly-Gomont is home to the fortified Saint-Rémi Church. Its choir was rebuilt in the 18th century, while the rectangular brick nave was constructed around 1633 on older sandstone foundations. Numerous loopholes at head height in the three walls of the nave, as well as four small corner towers, are among its defensive features. The Abbaye de Foigny is also located nearby. Further afield in the region are the historic sites of Abbaye de Bohéries, Abbaye de Montreuil les Dames, and Abbaye Notre-Dame de Fervaques.

Hiking and Landscapes

The La fontaine Colette hiking route begins and ends in Marly-Gomont. The walking route is 9.5 kilometres long and takes 2 hours and 45 minutes. It follows wild paths between fields and pastures; in places, it runs alongside the winding Oise.

On the Way

A stage of the Scandibérique passes through Marly-Gomont, where it is mentioned in connection with a fortified church. At the former Marly-Gomont railway station is the Estaminet “La Halle”, which offers a place to refresh yourself and take a break along the EuroVelo 3 stage. At weekends, visitors can get a platter of sausage or cheese there.

Events

The 37th edition of the Forum for Arts and Crafts and Regional Products was scheduled to take place in Marly-Gomont on Sunday, 12 April. A flea market, entertainment, and around 100 exhibitors were expected.
