Bony: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of the Nativité-de-la-Sainte-Vierge in Bony was rebuilt in the 1920s after the destruction of the First World War. Culture

At the Ferme de Gillemont, an American monument commemorates the soldiers of the 107th Infantry Regiment of the 27th Division. It also commemorates the capture of the Ferme de Gillemont by American soldiers on 29 September 1918. After the monument had been missing since the 1930s, it was symbolically re-erected in 2018.

Ceremonies for Memorial Day take place in the cemetery every year at the end of May. The historical evidence in Bony also includes remains of the Hindenburg Line.

The Somme American Cemetery is the final resting place of 1,844 overseas casualties of the First World War. The names of 333 missing soldiers are recorded in the memorial chapel. The cemetery includes a visitor centre with a permanent exhibition.

The Chemin de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle is designated as a route near Macquincourt. The Canal de Saint-Quentin, which is used by cargo ships and recreational boaters, is also located near Macquincourt. The northern entrance to the Riqueval Tunnel is in Macquincourt.
