Culture

The surviving choir of the Church of Saint Nicholas has round-arched openings that probably date from the second half of the 13th century. The present-day nave dates from the 17th century; the construction campaign was probably completed in 1688. The exterior walls of the nave and the west façade are decorated with checkerboard patterns made of glazed bricks.

The nave and choir have a plastered ceiling on wooden laths with stucco and plaster decoration. The furnishings include a harmonium from the 1870s or 1880s. The baptismal font combines a base that probably dates from the late 16th or first half of the 17th century with a 19th-century Neo-Renaissance pastiche of the basin. The bell installed in 1922 replaced a bell destroyed by German troops in 1917.
