Culture and History
The Château de la Madeleine is situated in a 10-hectare wooded park on the banks of the Seine and was the residence of the poet Casimir Delavigne. It is fully listed as a historic monument, including the gatekeeper's pavilion and the surrounding wall with its pillars and grilles; the listing was established by decree dated June 6, 2002.
The main construction phase of the Saint-Martin parish church took place in the 13th century. Its choir was rebuilt in the 16th century, and the nave was divided into two aisles. In 1944, the Saint-Martin parish church was almost completely destroyed.
Trails
The GR 2 passes through Pressagny-l'Orgueilleux. The Vernon–Les Andelys section of La Seine à Vélo also runs through the town. This section follows roads and paths, with short stretches on earthen or grass-covered surfaces.
