In La Forêt-du-Parc, the Église Notre-Dame features a special detail: in an external niche on the ambulatory is the protected statue “Vierge à l'Enfant dite Notre-Dame des Egarés”, which may date from the 17th century.
Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment can select La Forêt-du-Parc as their desired destination.
Culture
The Église Notre-Dame was rebuilt in the 15th and 16th centuries and is the most important cultural site in the centre of La Forêt-du-Parc. The nearby cemetery also contains an old calvary on a grave several centuries old.
History
The former La Forêt-du-Parc railway station is now closed. It began operating in 1883 on the Dreux–Saint-Aubin-du-Vieil-Évreux–Évreux line. A former railway keeper’s house is still visible in the municipal landscape of La Forêt-du-Parc.
Landscape
La Forêt-du-Parc is located in a landscape of forests and agricultural land.
Paths and events
There are local paths for hiking and cycling in the municipality. These paths connect the centre of La Forêt-du-Parc with the hamlet of La Forêt to the northeast and the hamlet of Longtouche to the northwest.
A “foire à tout” (flea market) is scheduled in La Forêt-du-Parc for the Saturday after 15 August.
