Bois-Normand-près-Lyre: holiday apartments and holiday homes
A historic church, a route through Normandy’s typical bocage landscape, and sites such as the Château de la Duquerie give Bois-Normand-près-Lyre a clearly recognizable character.
Culture and history
The Église Saint-Julien was rebuilt between 1780 and 1787. Its stained-glass windows and the statue of Saint Catherine have been restored. By decree of 5 September 1922, the church was classified as a historic monument.
The Château de la Duquerie is also one of the village’s historic landmarks: it was built at the end of the 16th century.
Paths and landscape
The “La belle au Bois-Normand” route begins at the town hall on Place Jo Dona in Bois-Normand-près-Lyre. Part of the route follows the blue-marked “Chemin de la Nova Lyra”. It leads through a typical Normandy bocage landscape and past the large gates of the Château de Bois Normand.
Nature
The Château de la Duquerie is set in a 20-hectare park. The Domaine de la Duquerie includes an arboretum.
Renting a holiday apartment in Bois-Normand-près-Lyre is a separate step in planning your trip.
