In Ajou, the Église Saint-Aubin-sur-Risle has been listed as a historic monument since 17 January 1955. The Circuit de la Vallée de la Risle circular trail also starts at Ajou Town Hall.

The Circuit de la Vallée de la Risle circular trail is 16 kilometres long and offers a 13-kilometre variant. The Circuit de la Vallée de Saint Aubin is a hiking trail through landscapes of countryside, valleys and rivers, leading through an area shaped by the Risle’s industrial past and featuring numerous mills.

Culture and history

The Église Saint-Aubin-sur-Risle is open to visitors during the European Heritage Days. The Prieuré de la Sainte-Trinité monastery is located near Ajou. Further afield in the Ajou region are the historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame-de-la-Couture, the Abbaye de la Noë monastery and the historic site of Château du Neubourg.

As part of the “De la ferme à l’assiette” programme, the Domaine du Framboisier in Ajou offers a guided tour with a tasting. The Domaine du Framboisier offers fresh or frozen berries as well as processed products such as jams, confectionery, juices, syrup and vinegar.
