The Nécropole dolménique des Prés d’Acon is an archaeological site dating from the Middle Neolithic period in the floodplain of the Avre. Its visible remains include four large horizontal stone slabs with smaller vertical blocks, as well as two isolated groups of two blocks each, corresponding to two more heavily damaged monuments. Since 24 February 1998, the Nécropole has been listed as a Monument historique. Such a necropolis is almost unique throughout the Paris Basin.

In the wider surrounding region of Acon are the Château de Louye and the Château de Sorel, both castles. The Abbaye Notre-Dame du Breuil-Benoît, a historic site, is also located in the wider surrounding region. The Église de la Madeleine is a church in the vicinity of Acon.

The Lavoir du pont des planches washhouse was restored in 1998 by the « Culture et patrimoine » association.

Hiking and Landscapes

The Avre et Meuvette route runs through the Avre Valley, fed by the Meuvette tributary, and over wooded slopes to wet meadows. As a circular route, it gives hikers an overview of the GR22, which connects Paris with Mont-Saint-Michel.
