Saint-Rémy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture
The parish church of Saint-Rémy features a 12th-century tower, a Romanesque portal and Romanesque capitals; it was extensively remodelled in the 19th century. In 1933, it was partially protected as a historic monument.
The choir of the parish church is decorated with murals created by the painter Chifiey in 1895, depicting the life of Saint Rémy.
The Centre Culturel des Fosses d'Enfer in Saint-Rémy-sur-Orne is housed in the former Musée de la Mine and now contains a library and a gallery for contemporary art exhibitions. The Chapelle Notre-Dame, also known as the Chapelle des Mineurs, has an altar symbolised by a mine cart and a cross made from mining picks.
