Landscape
Saint-Contest is situated on a plateau ranging from 54 to 77 metres above sea level in the plain of Caen. Historically, the area has been shaped primarily by cereal cultivation.

Culture
According to the 1840 list, the Church of Saint-Contest is classified as a Monument historique. It contains building elements dating from the 11th and 14th centuries and was restored after 1944. Its northern transept contains a 17th-century altarpiece.
