Culture
The Château de Villeray was completely renovated in the 18th century; two entrance pavilions were built and a French garden was created at that time. Around 1840, a west wing was added to the Château de Villeray. The Château de Villeray is partially listed as a Monument historique; the protection covers the façades and roofs of the two pavilions as well as the sphinxes. The Château de Cinglais dates from 1780.
The Eglise des Moutiers en Cinglais also bears traces of various construction phases. The herringbone masonry of the nave walls and a bricked-up door in the southern exterior wall date the Eglise des Moutiers en Cinglais to the beginning of the 11th century. The Eglise des Moutiers en Cinglais is under the authority of Lonlay Abbey in the Orne department. It was rebuilt with a flat-ended choir in the 13th century.
