Le Vey: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Several hiking trails lead to or through Le Vey. The GR® de Pays Tour de la Suisse Normande reaches Le Vey after crossing the bridge over the Orne and then continues along the GR® 36 towards Thury-Harcourt – Le Hom.

Culture

Le Vey is home to the parish church of Saint-Laurent. It preserves 12th-century herringbone masonry as well as a narrow, round-arched window on the south side, but has been extensively rebuilt. In Le Vey, the GR® de Pays Tour de la Suisse Normande passes by the church.

When planning a stay in Le Vey, the desire to rent a holiday apartment may be a central consideration.

Hiking trails

The “Pain de Sucre – Rochers des Parcs” hike is a 9 km circular route that begins in the village of Le Vey. Stage 6 of the “Chevauchée de Guillaume” also leads from Roucamps to Clécy or Le Vey. The “Vallée de l'Orne autour de Clécy” hike follows the GR® 36 to Le Vey and then crosses the bridge to return to the starting point.

Rocks and landscape

The GR® de Pays Tour de la Suisse Normande leads uphill through the forest to the Pain de Sucre. From there, the view extends over Clécy and the loop of the Orne.

Les Rochers des Parcs has 120 climbing routes. The Les Rochers des Parcs site in Le Vey can be accessed from the car park beneath the viaduct. The rocks are part of the Espaces Naturels Sensibles (ENS) of the Calvados département.
