History
The Viaduc de la Ligne Falaise Berjou was opened on 15 April 1874 and built for the Compagnie des chemins de fer de l’Ouest along the Falaise–Berjou railway line.
The construction of the road to Pont des Vers (D18) in the 19th century contributed to the development of Le Mesnil-Villement. The construction of the Falaise–Berjou railway line contributed to the development and industrialisation of the area.
A textile company was founded near the viaduct in 1896 by the Pernelle brothers. Among other products, the weaving mill produced Vichy and Zéphyr fabrics for aprons and workwear made from cotton, fibranne and rayon.
