Cordebugle: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Cordebugle combines a very densely wooded, hilly landscape with remarkable details at the Église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul. The church has a rectangular nave, a slightly narrower choir, and a square bell tower made of puddingstone, crowned by a pyramidal slate spire. Its bell tower dates from the 12th century, the choir from the late 12th century, and the nave from the 15th century; a porch and façade were added in the 16th century.

Culture

A bishop of Lisieux’s coat of arms can be found on a pillar of the Église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul. The high altar features a tripartite altarpiece made of carved, polychrome wood from the mid-17th century. Four Corinthian columns divide the structure; at its center is a painting of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

Nature and Hiking

The “De la Marolles au Courtonnel” route is a 12-kilometer, moderately difficult circular hiking trail lasting approximately three hours. In Cordebugle, it initially follows the Allee des Bois de la Roque for 200 meters and then continues along a path. The route reaches the Courtonnel valley and crosses a bridge. At one point, the church of Cordebugle is 150 meters from the route. One section may be wet in winter.

In Marolles lies Domaine des Déserts, a four-hectare winery between Courtonne-la-Meurdrac and Cordebugle.
