Culture
On January 29, 1982, the statue of Saint Maxime in Wismes was placed under protection as a designated object. The parish church of Saint-André also contains a statue entitled Saint Maxime.
The Saint-Maxime fountain lies west of the church. It is about seven metres deep. At regular intervals, the water overflows and flows into an adjacent meadow.
The Saint-André church in Wismes was classified in 1932. It has a richly carved portal; its ambulatory contains Gothic sculptures.
Anyone wishing to explore Wismes with Saint-André and the Saint-Maxime fountain may wish to plan to rent a holiday apartment.
