The Chaussée Brunehaut through Senlecques follows a former Roman road. The Church of Sainte-Hélène contains a 13th-century baptismal font that is considered a historic object.

Adrien Benoît Carpentier, a grenadier in the Imperial Guard who was born in Senlecques, is associated with Senlecques. In 1814, he volunteered to accompany Napoleon to the island of Elba. Napoleon III visited troops stationed on the Senlecques plateau in 1854. Charlie Chaplin also came to Senlecques in 1915 and visited English troops who had taken up positions there.

Every year, a pilgrimage to Saint Helena takes place in Senlecques, around July. A relic of Saint Helena is also associated with the town.
