Nempont-Saint-Firmin: Holiday apartments and houses

Nature

In the lower reaches of the Authie Valley lies the Marais du Warnier. It is privately owned and not open to the public.

The wetland covers an area of 8 hectares. It features a mosaic of mesotrophic peatland habitats, including sedge beds, an alder carr and peat-forming reed beds.

Vertigo de Desmoulins, a snail threatened at European level, lives there. The marsh is also home to a population of marsh comaret.

Those choosing Nempont-Saint-Firmin as a holiday destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment there.

Culture

The Rue du Warnier archaeological site in Nempont-Saint-Firmin was a military site on the Authie dating from late antiquity.

The Église Saint-Firmin dates from the second half of the 19th century and is one of the region’s few Romanesque Revival buildings. It houses the Marie Marguerite bell from 1717, which has been protected as a Monument historique since 1943, and has a restored barrel vault.

The war memorial is a stele consisting of six parts, with a carved cross imitating branch wood, and is made of stone from Marquise.

Golf

The Nampont St Martin Golf Club has two 18-hole courses. It is located between the Bay of the Somme and the Bay of the Authie, in the park of a fortified house dating from the 15th century.

The club welcomes golfers of all abilities throughout the year.
