Merlimont: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Nature
The Sentier des Fauvettes lies in the dunes of Merlimont and passes through embryonic dunes, white dunes with marram grass, grey dunes with moss and lichens, and dune thickets covered with shrubs. The trail begins on Rue du Touquet and is a 2.5-kilometre walking route of moderate difficulty, taking approximately one hour.
Dogs, horses, bicycles, roller skates and motorcycles are prohibited on the Sentier de la Dune Parabolique. The ZNIEFF Dunes de Merlimont covers the municipality of Merlimont and consists of successive sandy ridges separated by dune hollows.
The Marais de Balançon is a Natura 2000 wetland with interwoven areas of water and land. Birds, among other things, can be seen there along the paths. The Sentier de la Forêt also runs alongside a preserved natural area: the forests are home to characteristic fauna and flora, while the marshes located east of the path provide a habitat for birds, fish, amphibians and insects.
Leisure
Parc Bagatelle in Merlimont is the oldest amusement park still in operation in France and offers more than 35 attractions. Its offerings include attractions for young children, families and particularly thrill-seeking visitors, as well as a show and a mini-farm.
