Culture and History
The former railway station in Écuires marks the location of the former “Tortillard” railway line, which connected Montreuil with Berck and was closed in 1956.
The Église Saint-Vaast is a Flamboyant Gothic building dating from the 15th century. Its wooden oak-vaulted ceiling is shaped like an inverted boat hull.
The Château Le Quièvremont was built in the 18th century by Henri Dominique Acary de la Rivière. It is privately owned and cannot be visited.
Traditional earthen houses can still be seen in Écuires, particularly on Rue du Marais.
