The Dannes-Camiers site is a complex of fossil cliffs made of chalk, featuring ecologically significant calcareous grasslands. It is home to numerous butterflies, including the frêle argus. With the exception of the Eqiom quarry, the slopes of the Dannes-Camiers site form part of the “Coteaux de Dannes-Camiers” Natura 2000 site and account for 60% of this Natura 2000 site.

The Pomme d'Or hiking trail at Mont Saint-Frieux is 1.7 km long. The Chablis circular trail at Mont Saint-Frieux covers 3.2 km. The coastal hiking trail at Mont Saint-Frieux allows you to explore the coast while passing natural sites.

Culture

The Church of Saint Martin features construction periods from the 15th and 16th centuries. It is protected by inclusion on the supplementary inventory under a decree dated 10 June 1926. The choir is attributed to the patronage of François de Créqui and Marguerite Blondel at the beginning of the 16th century.

Dannes was situated on the former Roman road between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Étaples. A memorial stele inaugurated on Dannes beach in 2014 commemorates the sacrifice of approximately 2,000 airmen who died in the département between 1939 and 1945.
