Culture and History
The present-day Eglise Saint-Martin was built in the mid-18th century; the date 1742 can be clearly seen on its bell tower. Its furnishings include the statue “Saint Martin?”, which is protected as a movable cultural object and was listed on 15 January 1974.
The Eglise Saint-Martin has a high altar with three altar steps. The high altar is made of natural wood and decorated with gilded motifs; the upper step is adorned with a marquetry rosette. There are also two curved side altars made of natural wood.
The confessional of the Eglise Saint-Martin is particularly rich in detail: it is made of profiled, carved and pierced oak wood. The pilasters feature Composite capitals, the upper part of the door contains pierced foliage, and a curved pediment is topped by a bust with a cross.
