Lac Bleu in Watten is a 13-hectare nature area on the site of a former marl quarry. A circular trail leads through forests and meadows, and the flora and fauna are diverse. Swimming in Lac Bleu is prohibited. Lac Bleu is partially accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The Sentier de la Montagne de Watten is a 1.1-kilometre circular trail from Rue de l’Eglise to Mont de Watten. The route involves an elevation gain of 72 metres; approximately one hour is planned for the outward and return journey.

Culture
The Tour de l’Abbaye de Watten comprises an abbey tower dating from the 15th century and the surrounding walls. They are the surviving remains of a religious institution founded in the 11th century.
The stone Moulin de la Montagne de Watten was built around 1760 from materials taken from the former abbey, replacing a wooden mill. A mechanism installed in 1994 enables it to grind grain as it did in the past.
The tower of the Église Saint-Gilles dates from the late 15th century, is a listed monument and has been fully restored.
The listed site at Mont de Watten preserves 17th-century fortification remains surrounding the former abbey and the mill.
Tradition
The Maison des Archers offers introductory sessions on shooting a bow at the vertical pole at its archery range. An exhibition on traditional shooting with a bow at the vertical pole – a typical activity in Flanders and Artois – explains its history from its beginnings to the present day.
Watten also has a public landing stage.
