Romeries: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The signposted circular hiking trail “Des Harpies à la Motte féodale” is 16 km long, takes around four hours and connects Vertain, Romeries and Beaurain. History

Romeries was first mentioned in 706 in a deed of donation issued by Childebert III to the Abbey of Saint-Denis in France. In the 7th century, Romeries belonged to the Abbey of Maroilles. In 1260, the monastery transferred its estates to the Lord of Romeries and his heirs as a fief in return for an annual rent.
