Culture
The organ loft in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is protected as movable cultural heritage; it was listed on 9 June 1980.
The surviving parts of the so-called Château dit de Philippe de Comines, including the curtain wall, have been partially protected as historic monuments since 23 April 1981.
Walking Tours
Renescure has a “Village Patrimoine” walking tour; the network has been developed in the Pays de Flandre since 2009.
The “Village Patrimoine” walking tour is 3.5 km long and is presented through information panels in French, English and Dutch.
Local guides can accompany visitors along the “Village Patrimoine” walking tour by prior appointment.
In addition, the “Du Château à la Forêt” trail starts at the car park of Castle Zuthove in Renescure.
Townscape and History
Place de Renescure is considered the birthplace of the village and remains its centre to this day.
A complete V1 storage site extended from Renescure railway station and was connected to it.
A paved road and numerous bunkers are scattered across the nearby pastureland around the V1 storage site.
